Avi Roy (born 26th April, 1973) is an artist from Bengal. He completed his education from Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan, and works at Lalit Kala academy in Kolkata. Avi has been fascinated by children and childhood. Childhood is an interesting, fun filled and a challenging period at the same time. It is the intermediate period between the idiocy of infancy and folly of youth, the stage of cognitive development. Roy’s series painting revolves around the idea of childhood.
