Dipankar Karmakar( born 12th June, 1974) has completed his training from the Government College of Art and Craft in 2001. His journey of making art has not stopped since then. His art work is ceramic based, specially stoneware. Ceramic is a very technically challenging material as there are many different ways in which to use clay to make a piece of functional or nonfunctional art work.

For Dipankar, creating art is as necessary as eating & breathing. It is a way for him to express his thoughts, which he is unable to convey verbally.
