প্রায় ৭৫ বছরের পুরোনো ঠাকুমা-দিদিমাদের অধিক ব্যবহৃত এই খড়কেডুরে শাড়ি ফিরে এলো নব্য বাংলায়। শতবর্ষীয় প্রাচীন গৃহ-জানালার খড়কির নকশা ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে এই শাড়ির দেহে, পাড়ে গ্রামীণ আলপনার ছাপ। সম্পূর্ণ হ্যান্ডলুম, ১০০ শতাংশ সুতির ও ৯২X৯২ কাউন্টের এই টাঙ্গাইল শাড়ির নকশাকার শ্যাম বিশ্বাস।
The 'Khorke Durey' saree, which originated nearly 75 years ago and was extensively worn by our grandmothers, has once again found its place in modern-day Bengal. The saree features a design inspired by century-old house-window shutters known as 'kharki,' with motifs of rural Bengal-style Alpana adorning the border. Woven entirely by handloom, this pure cotton (100%), 92x92-count Tangail saree has been designed by Shyam Biswas.
