Saptarshi Roy Bardhan authored 'Rupkathar Mato' where he narrated the life story of a person having lineage of two royal families of Bengal by birth and another, through marital relationship. The story  centres around the life of Smt Pranati Roy. Her memoir of a bygone era has come alive on a colourful canvas which is a real document of that time.

সপ্তর্ষি রায় বর্ধন লিখেছেন 'রূপকথার মতো', শুনিয়েছেন এমন এক মানুষের জীবন কাহিনী যাঁর পিতৃ ও মাতৃ কুল বাংলার দুই খেতাবি রাজ পরিবার এবং পরবর্তী কালে তিনি পরিণয় সূত্রে আবদ্ধ হয়েছেন আরেক রাজ পরিবারে। কাহিনীর কেন্দ্রে শ্রীমতি প্রণতি রায়। তাঁর স্মৃতি কথায় আঁকা হয়েছে ফেলে আসা সময়ের এক বর্ণিল ক্যানভাস, বাস্তবে যা সেই সময়ের এক জীবন্ত দলিল।
